Sentinel for IG

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 3, 2026

This policy explains how [Legal entity name], located at [Registered address] ("Sentinel", "we", "us"), collects, uses and protects your information when you use our website (sentinelforig.com), the Sentinel for IG mobile application, and the services connected to them (together, the "Service"). Sentinel is the data controller for this information.

1. Information you provide to us

Contact details. When you start a checkout or contact us, we ask for your email address, your Instagram handle and your WhatsApp phone number so we can set up your access, support you and follow up with you, including if you do not complete your purchase.

Account information. When a Sentinel workspace is created for you or your team, we store your name, email address, role (owner or team member) and the city and country you tell us you work from, which we use to configure your dedicated device location.

Instagram connection. Sentinel hosts your Instagram session on a single managed device. Session data required to keep that device signed in is stored securely and used only to operate your workspace. Team members access the workspace through Sentinel and never receive your Instagram password.

Payments. Purchases are processed by Whop, our payment provider. We receive confirmation of your purchase (product, amount, billing status) but we never see or store your card details.

2. Information collected automatically

Usage data. We collect how you interact with the Service: pages viewed, video watch time, buttons clicked, and in the app, workspace events such as when a session is opened, requested or handed over between team members.

Device and log data. Like most services, we receive your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser or device type, operating system and identifiers needed to deliver push notifications on iOS.

Cookies and pixels. Our website stores a first-party visitor identifier and your progress on the page (for example how much of the video you watched) in your browser, so we can understand how the site is used and avoid asking you for the same information twice. Our website also uses the Meta pixel and equivalent server-side events to measure our advertising. Identifiers shared with Meta for this purpose (such as email or phone number) are hashed before they are sent. We also use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, privacy-friendly traffic measurement, and Wistia to host and measure our videos.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • provide, operate and secure your Sentinel workspace;
  • deliver the content, access and support you request;
  • contact you about your account or purchase by email or WhatsApp;
  • measure and improve our website, app and advertising;
  • prevent fraud and abuse and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

4. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that run the Service on our behalf, under their own privacy and security commitments:

  • Vercel (website hosting and analytics)
  • Neon (database hosting)
  • Whop (payment processing)
  • Wistia (video hosting)
  • Meta Platforms (advertising measurement, hashed data only)
  • Apple (app distribution and push notifications)

We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply to it.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Lead and analytics data is kept for up to 24 months. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it for legal, billing or security reasons.

6. Security

All traffic to the Service is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Instagram session data is stored on managed, access-controlled infrastructure, and access within your team is permission-based: owners can revoke a team member's access at any time in one click. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information with industry-standard measures.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR if you are in the European Economic Area, and the CCPA if you are in California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@sentinelforig.com. We respond within 30 days. You can also opt out of Meta's ad measurement through your Facebook and Instagram ad settings.

8. Instagram and Meta

Sentinel is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram, Facebook or Meta Platforms, Inc. Your Instagram account remains governed by Instagram's own terms and privacy policy. We do not share your Instagram session data with Meta, and we only use it to operate your workspace. We have no control over, and no responsibility for, what Instagram does with your account or your data.

9. Children

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International transfers

We operate from the European Union and use service providers based in the United States. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the app.

12. Contact

For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at support@sentinelforig.com. See also our Terms of Service.
